We are looking for a Business Development Manager who is an entrepreneur who will relish the challenge of
supporting Crossroads to make a step-change in its management, growth, and sustainability.
Reporting to the Board, you will apply proven business knowledge and skills to existing assets and
infrastructure, with a view to enhancing the services of the services provided to clients, as well as the working
culture and environment of its staff.
You do not have to come from the care sector, so this could be a great opportunity for an experienced business
manager to move into the third sector. Key elements of the role will be to pro-actively develop the business with
particular focus on staff growth, service levels, and engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.
You will have an inclusive management style but with the strength and resilience to take people with you in the
implementation of a new business strategy, plans and procedures setting our SMART objectives and goals for
the charity’s ongoing growth and business success

Welcome to Crossroads (Perth & Kinross)! Crossroads is a charitable organisation supporting carers in Perth
& Kinross, through the provision of respite care and other forms of practical support in their own homes.
Their care staff are trained to support a wide range of age groups and medical conditions such as
dementia, mental health conditions, Parkinson’s, MS and learning disabilities.
Their primary offering is a respite service for carers, by looking after the person they care for in their own
home. They help alleviate the stress which carers experience because of care responsibilities by providing
short respite breaks for carers or a care-at-home service to a wide range of people living in the community.
They also provide personal care for clients to allow them to live independently in their own homes

This is an ideal opportunity for a high-performing business development professional who has proven
experience of developing projects or services to drive income generation and growth. You will be used to
working within a fast-paced organisation, demonstrating the ability to respond to unfolding
circumstances. You must possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, capable of forging
collegial and productive working relationships with a broad range of personality types and styles.
You must have unquestioned integrity, curiosity, and the ability to listen and learn from others.

• Knowledge of the Health and Social Care and/or Third Sector would be advantageous
