This is a skilled role requiring specialist knowledge and experience of Corporates or Trusts and Foundations. The post holder will be responsible for securing a high return on investment in the form of major philanthropic grants from charitable trusts and foundations, thus providing significant funding for a spectrum of University projects including capital campaigns, research, and scholarships. The post holder should have exceptional communication and written skills, with strong influencing and negotiating skills in order to develop high-quality funding proposals and impact reports.

Skills & attributes for your success. You will have:
• Track record of securing 5, 6, or 7 figure gifts across two of the following income streams
(Trusts, Companies, Regular Giving, or Major Donors).
• Experience of managing a prospect pool and progressing relationships from ‘cold’ to cultivation
to ‘ask’ and stewardship.
• Ability to prioritise and manage a diverse workload
• Self-starter and team player.
• First rate communicator (written and verbal).
• Creative thinker – someone who has a track record in initiating and implementing new ideas.
• Knowledge and experience of donor stewardship.
• A talent for building and nurturing great working relationships.
• A flexible approach and positive outlook.
• An engaging and inspiring individual.
• Experience of devising and implementing fundraising strategy.
• Ability to work under pressure to ensure deadlines and targets are met.
• Although not essential, line management experience would be a distinct advantage.
